Dear Parent or Concerned One,
I know how hard it is for parents who discover their children are suffering from depression.
What can you do when you find out your child is depressed?
Who do you go to for advice and understanding when you don't know what to do?
How do you know what to say to your child when they tell you they are feeling depressed or even suicidal?
When do you know for certain that your child is depressed if they just won't talk to anyone about it?
If you went to your doctor for help, how would you know what to ask for and to get someone to take you seriously?
My name is Dr Angel Adams and I have been a Clinical Psychologist working with children for over 30 years.
In my practice I see many parents/carers who have suffered for a long time because they found it difficult to obtain the right kind of advice and support when they really needed it.
I am sure you have felt the same kinds of frustrations ... but it's not your fault!
Even with all my years of practical psychology experience, I couldn't find anywhere that provided all the essential information in one simple, easy-to-read, single location!
So that's why I decided to write my book for concerned parents and carers just like yourself.
Now my book has been converted into a Simpleology Project and my ebook is included along with the project.
The book is written by both a clinical psychologist and a mother whose own teenager suffered from depression. I discuss, in an open and readable style, the problems parents face in coping with a depressed child or teenager.
I give practical advice on recognising depression in children/teenagers and offers essential tips on how you can cope with the challenges.
I suggest several helpful ways you can treat your child's depression and offer positive ways of working with the school to keep attendance regular and structured by reviewing the timetable and reducing the load of the school week and homework schedule.
I also give strategies for parents to help manage their own life effectively when living with a depressed child.
This book is the perfect resource to use while your child and family is waiting for an appointment to see a specialist or as a non-medical adjunct to treatment by a qualified helping professional.
These are just some of the many benefits you will receive from working through this Simpleology Project and reading the accompanying ebook.
