I live in Vancouver, BC, a city that is dark and rainy for over half the year. Not only that, but the days are short and the nights are long.
It was really affecting me. By a month or two in, I would have no energy nor motivation to do anything.
I often wouldn't leave my bed for a week at a time. My work, social life, and self-esteem suffered. My personality was affected. I made much less money in my business. Romantic relationships would often flail and end.
For the last few years, I have been playing with what would help my health, energy, happiness, and being myself.
I found it! This is my winning combination.
Now I am chipper and energetic throughout the winters. I get more done, I maintain healthy relationships, and I am happy to get out of my house and go outside.
I had my best business season. I had the energy to have a great, romantic relationship with lots of energetic, adventurous outdoor dates, even on the darkest, gray sky rainy days. On a cold, gray, and drizzly January 1st, I even had the energy to go do the Polar Bear swim in the ocean!
The best part is, it's easy.
Actually, I take that back. 4 of the items are easy and one is more challenging, but if you can do it, is worth it.
Doing just any one of these will make a big difference, but you can do all of these. I will show you how.
