Feeling stressed? Overwhelmed? Anxious? Need to find some peace in your life?
This practical course in mindfulness is a toolkit designed to help you achieve just that – some peace and calm into your life. Each day you will be introduced to a different mindfulness technique such as a breathing practice, guided meditation, body relaxation or using nature to help you find peace. It is broken into 5 parts:
Part 1: Quick practices. If you only have a few minutes but want to do something to calm you down NOW, these are the ones to begin with.
Part 2: Meditation. Always wanted to try meditation but weren’t sure where to start? Dive in here for some techniques such as mindfulness of breath, mantra, and guided meditations.
Part 3:Relaxation. Feeling stressed? Can’t sleep? Here are some techniques and practices which will calm you right down.
Part 4: Using nature to help you relax. Love being outside? Interested in finding ways to use nature to calm you down? This section outlines such great techniques as walking meditations and centering meditation.
Part 5: Some additional helpful resources. In this last section, I include a selection of mindfulness techniques such as journaling, gratitude and poetry as well as a list of free resources and apps to help you on your journey.
Each exercise in this project is between 5 and 15 minutes. Included in this project are several exercises and meditations for you to download so by the end of the course you will have a mindfulness toolkit at your fingertips to access whenever you feel stressed or anxious.
