The Superhuman Mental Toughness Quiz

Quotes like the following are tossed around so casually these days, we’ve lost touch with their true meaning …

“Compared with what we ought to be, we are only half awake.” William James

But what does that really mean?  How does one measure “awakeness?”  And how does one acquire it?

The following line from Whiplash, perhaps one of the most important films of the last decade, sums it up nicely.

Andrew was an extremely talented drummer tormented by the sadistic mentor, Terrence Fletcher.  Andrew quit and they met in a bar months later …

Andrew: But is there a line? You know, maybe you go too far, and you discourage the next Charlie Parker from ever becoming Charlie Parker?

Fletcher: No, man, no.  Because the next Charlie Parker would never be discouraged.

And now you know the real “difference that makes a difference.”  It’s not talent.  It’s not intelligence.  It’s not money.  It’s none of the things we use to excuse ourselves from achieving greatness.

It’s the mental toughness required to “never be discouraged.”

The awareness of this phenomenon has been surfacing in the oddest places.  The U.S. Military, for example, has been frantically developing ways to teach this skill.

Among the most promising is an experimental program developed for West Point cadets.  We accessed this program and turned it into a Simpleology Ritual.

We’ll show you how to get it in a minute … First, let’s assess your mental toughness and find out if you really need this.
